Wrestling with the reality of being gay and Mormon has taught Zack the meaning of true faith. As a missionary, Zack felt torn between spiritual promptings that he would someday marry a man and the idea that he needed to just obey and sacrifice that hope. The conflict drove him to consider suicide, until he embraced the fact that although he didn’t have all the answers, he was doing his best to choose the right and act on faith.

Today, Zack’s testimony of the gospel continues to grow alongside his belief that he will marry a man someday. He has faith that as he followers the Spirit and builds a family of his own, he will not be held back from becoming exalted. Rather, these experiences  will help him become more like God.
